Ashfork / Hells Canyon Spillway Restoration Project on the Kaibab

Our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 5,220 pounds (2.61 tons) of trash, 19 tires removed and recycled, and 266 square feet of graffiti removed from OHV areas on the Kaibab National Forest near Ashfork. We focused on the trails around Hells Canyon Spillway.

SWCA Environmental Consultants Donate 200 Seed Packs

We would like to thank our friends at SWCA Environmental Consultants for donating 200 Sonoran Desert Wildflower Blend seed packs to our Replanting Program!

The seed blend contains a variety of both perennial and annual species that are well adapted to the region and have been approved for use by the Biologist for the Tonto National Forest. ⁠

Thank you to everyone at SWCA for your continued support of Natural Restorations, from volunteering with us at cleanup events (check out our 04/23/21 Cleanup with SWCA HERE), donating funds to our Restoration Programs, and donating seeds to our Replanting Program, we are grateful for all of you!⁠

U.S. Forest Service Awards for Natural Restorations

We would like to thank everyone at the U.S. Forest Service Southwestern Regional Office and everyone at the Tonto National Forest Service for recognizing our restoration work across the state and for sending us these gorgeous and thoughtful awards! ⁠

We received a 2019 Southwestern Regional Volunteer & Service Award and a 2019 Citizen Stewardship & Partnership Certificate of Appreciation for our restoration work on the Tonto National Forest. We also received a 2018 Citizen Stewardship & Partners Award for our work on Arizona National Forests. ⁠

We researched both of the artists and are in awe of their craftsmanship. We also love that the Forest Service worked really hard to support local artists and businesses in New Mexico where the Southwestern Regional Office is located. ⁠

Thanks again for recognizing the hard work of our Dedicated Restoration Team and volunteers!

Kelly Canyon / End of the World OHV Area Restoration Project

Our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 6,020 pounds (3.01 tons) of trash removed from Kelly Canyon and End of the World OHV Areas on the Coconino National Forest.

1,257 Square Feet of Graffiti Removed from Mt. Elden

In June, our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 1,257 square feet of graffiti painted on the rocks and boulders at Mt Elden in Flagstaff, Arizona. ⁠You can view the entire project HERE.

This project was made possible through a grant from UniSource Energy Services.⁠ We are grateful for their continued support of our programs and their desire to make this state a better place for everyone to enjoy!⁠⁠ ⁠You can check out our 2019 Mt. Arizona Adventure Group Raises $878 for Our Restoration Programs!

On Saturday morning, July 24th, at No Snow Stand Up Paddle Board in Mesa, Arizona Adventure Group presented our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a donation for $878 for our Restoration Programs! ⁠

Even though this past Saturday's Lower Salt River Cleanup was postponed due to the weather, we still had a great time meeting up with everyone at No Snow in Mesa for breakfast, coffee, and the raffles. ⁠

Tonto National Forest Restoration

In May, our Dedicated Restoration Team, along with the Tonto National Forest Service - Mesa Ranger District and three volunteers helped us remove 9 trash sites, including an abandoned squatter camp, off of Power Road near the Lower Salt River in Mesa on the Tonto National Forest.⁠

We removed 8,460 pounds of trash from this area, that's 4.23 tons of trash no longer littering the Tonto National Forest! ⁠Please note, all of the sites in this project area were abandoned; we do not take on projects where people are actively living.⁠

We would like to thank everyone at Republic Services for sponsoring this project. They donated two 40-yard dumpsters to help us remove the trash from 9 different dump sites in this area.

Tonto National Forest - Payson District Restoration Project

Our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 2,680 pounds (1.34 tons) of trash, 21 tires removed and recycled, and 260 square feet of graffiti removed from OHV areas around Payson on the Tonto National Forest - Payson Ranger District. We focused no the Houston Mesa Road trails and Forest Road 1173 up to Wedding Point.

Saturday’s Lower Salt River Cleanup with Arizona Adventure Group & No Snow Standup Paddleboard Shop has been postponed. Details below:

Good Morning Fellow Adventurers!

As we have watched the weather closely, we regret to inform you that our Salt River CleanUp on Saturday, July 24th, has been postponed. We made this difficult decision to postpone because of the weather conditions and flash flood warnings in the area.

NoSnow has invited us to serve breakfast and coffee Saturday, July 24th, at their location (see address below). At that time, we will have raffles, announce the SUP winner and make the best of our morning with you! Please arrive by 8:30am.

We are rescheduling for Saturday, October 2nd, and will share details as we get closer. We will have opportunities for on land and in water for the cleanup.

If you have reservations for a NOSnow paddleboard - I will be refunding you this weekend, and you should see a refund in your account within 3-5 business days.

The safety of our members is number one! Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. And I look forward to seeing you at NoSnow Saturday morning at 8:30a for the raffle.

7,920 Pounds (3.96 tons) of Trash Removed from Tonto National Forest

The dumpster weight is in! We removed 7,920 pounds of trash (3.96 tons) in April from an abandoned squatter site on the Tonto National Forest near the Superstition Mountains. We also removed & recycled 2 tires. Check out the entire project HERE.

Devil's Canyon Graffiti Removal

Graffiti that could be seen from your vehicle as you drive through the canyon and what you could see when you stopped at all of the pull-off areas east of Queen Creek Tunnel is something we’ve dreamed of removing long before Natural Restorations existed.

This project has been on our graffiti removal bucket list for a long time and we are grateful to the organizations that made this project possible: ON Semiconductor, REI Co-op, and Resolution Copper. Thank you to for helping us remove 1,744 sq ft of graffiti!

Earth Day Cleanup with SWCA

We teamed up our friends at SWCA to bring a group of volunteers out to the Lower Salt River for a trash cleanup in celebration of Earth Day. We removed 108.15 pounds of trash from the Lower Salt River at Blue Point & Pebble Beach Recreation Areas!

We teamed up The Original MakeUp Eraser & Japonesque to bring a group of volunteers out to the Lower Salt River for a trash cleanup in celebration of Earth Day. They helped us remove 142.19 pounds of trash from the Lower Salt River at Water Users Recreation Area!
