10/22/23 Lower Sycamore OHV Area Volunteer Cleanup
The Natural Restorations 2023/2024 OHV Area Restoration Project was designed to address the long-standing issues of trash and illegal dumping in OHV areas. We removed trash and graffiti from natural areas surrounding OHV areas, trails, routes, while leaving a minimal footprint. We completed 21 restoration projects with our Dedicated Restoration Team and 2 volunteer cleanup events in OHV areas.
*This does not include OHV area restoration projects we completed in 2023/2024 with funding outside of the OHV-fund grant.
We worked the Tonto National Forest, the Coconino National Forest, the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest, the Kaibab National Forest, & on Arizona State Trust Land. Thank you to everyone at these land management agencies for supporting our projects!
Volunteer cleanup events provided close to home opportunities for youth, the OHV community, non-OHV community members, outdoor recreation groups, and State Parks and U.S. Forest Service employees. Our restorations immediately improved the appearance and usability of the OHV areas included in our project.
Our volunteer events are the perfect opportunity for the OHV community, youth, and other community members to come out, learn lifelong stewardship, and change the way we leave natural areas. Join us at an upcoming event, click HERE to view our Events Calendar.
