03/11/23 Lower Salt River Cleanup with American Rivers & COX

Saturday, December 9th, 2023, we teamed up with American Rivers & Cox for a trash cleanup at Phon D Sutton Recreation Area along the Lower Salt River.

Volunteers found scattered trash, sheets, blankets, towels, clothing, shoes, flip flops, sunglasses, a fishing pole, a camping chair, and lots of micro trash, like cigarette butts, bottle tops, fishing line, confetti, toothpick flossers, pieces of wrappers and more.

Volunteers helped us remove 202 pounds of trash from Phon D Sutton Recreation Area. Thank you to everyone from American Rivers & Cox for helping us make a positive impact on the Tonto National Forest and the Lower Salt River!
