11/29/24 7th annual Green Friday with Salt River Project
at Bartlett Lake Flats on the tonto national forest
The day after Thanksgiving, we hosted our 7th annual Green Friday Cleanup with Salt River Project at Barlett Lake, focusing on Bartlett Lake Flats. 75 volunteers, including 9 youth volunteers, helped us remove 1,080 pounds of trash.
Green Friday is our way of thinking differently about the day after Thanksgiving; it’s a chance to celebrate the connection between people & outdoor spaces in their community, inspire environmental stewardship, & encourage use of outdoor spaces for education, recreation, & general health.
This event was financed through a grant from Salt River Project. We are grateful to everyone at SRP for their continued support of our mission and our Restoration Projects across Arizona.
In addition to Salt River Project, we would also like to thank the following organizations for their support of this event: AZ 4Runner Outsiders, Arizona Toy Pros, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co., Arizona Wholesale Growers, Battle Born Offroad, Beer Barn, Desert Monsters Tours, HDR, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, Illuminated Funds Group, Native Resources, Nitro Gear & Axle, OdySea Aquarium, Resolution Copper, Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, Security Title, State 48 Overland, Stellar Adventures, Victory 4x4, Wild West Off-Road Recovery, and Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative.
Thank you to everyone at U.S. Forest Service Tonto National Forest for their support of this event!
