15th annual Four Peaks Cleanup & Restoration Event

On Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, we partnered with the US. Forest Service Tonto National Forest, Arizona State Parks & Trails, Friends of the Tonto, Copperstate 4Wheelers, Four Peaks Brewing Co., the National Forest Foundation, & Arevon for the 15th annual Four Peaks Cleanup & Restoration Event.

166 volunteers, including 26 youth volunteers, helped us make a huge impact on this part of the Tonto National Forest. Volunteers helped us remove 10,720 pounds (5.36 tons) of trash & 6 tires from Four Peaks & Sugar Loaf OHV Areas.

A group of volunteers also assisted Friends of the Tonto National Forest by removing bundles of invasive grasses from the entrance to Four Peaks while picking up trash from the area to help ensure native desert plants are not chocked out by invasive species. Volunteers also worked with the Tonto Forest Service and tossed seed balls made by volunteers at Four Peaks Brewing Co. in October.

This project was financed in part by a grant from the Arizona Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Recreation Fund administered by Arizona State Parks & Trails. We are grateful for their support of Arizona’s Off-Highway Vehicles and their commitment to responsible recreation.

From 2010 to 2024, volunteers have helped remove 258,500 pounds (129.25 tons) of trash from Four Peaks & Sugar Loaf OHV Areas!
