On Saturday, February 18th, 2023, we partnered with OdySea Aquarium for our annual Lower Salt River Land & Water Cleanup at Coon Bluff Recreation Area on the Tonto National Forest.

228 volunteers, including 46 youth volunteers, helped us remove 1.26 tons (2,520 pounds) of trash & invasive stinknet from Coon Bluff. Thank you to everyone who came out to make a huge impact on the Lower Salt River!

We are grateful for Dave, Jess, Cassi & the entire team from OdySea Aquarium! OdySea Aquarium has been a sponsor of Natural Restorations since 2018. We have partnered with OdySea Aquarium for numerous river & lake cleanups, and we are grateful for their support.

Thank you to everyone at MP Environmental Services, Inc. for donating the dumpster & disposal fees!

Thank you to No Snow Stand Up Paddle Boards for letting us borrow their 14-foot SUP. We took their 14ft SUP & our 14ft SUP upriver & our Dedicated Restoration Team used the boards to ferry volunteers & full trash bags across the river.

Thank you to everyone who helped move trash bags & pulled carts of trash bags from the river to the dumpster, & anyone who assisted divers!

Thank you to everyone from the US Forest Service Tonto National Forest for their support of this event.

We would also like to thank our Sponsors!

Without their support, events like this would not be possible: AZ 4Runner Outsiders, Arizona Toy Pros, Battle Born Offroad, Desert Monsters Tours, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, Illuminated Funds Group, Nitro Gear & Axle, the OdySea Aquarium Foundation, REI Co-op, Salt River Project, State 48 Overland, Stellar Adventures, Tru Flask, Victory 4x4, and Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative.

Thank you to our Dedicated Restoration Team for all of their hard work at the event! Thanks to Burt Morin for all of her help!

Thank you, American Rivers for donating trash bags for this event.

We have removed 143,658 pounds (71.82 tons) of trash from the Lower Salt River!

20,500 pounds of that trash was removed from Coon Bluff Recreation Area!
