02/23/19 Base & Meridian Wildlife Area Cleanup Project

We teamed up with Arizona Game & Fish and REI for again for our 2nd Base & Meridian Wildlife Area Cleanup on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019. 187 volunteers, including 59 youth volunteers, helped us remove trash from this beautiful area. We will share the dumpster weight as soon as we have the data.
We will continue to work with Arizona Game & Fish, REI, the City of Avondale, and the City of Goodyear as we work towards a long-term solution to revitalize this beautiful area and keep it free from trash so it can become a premier outdoor recreation destination in the West Valley for the outdoor community.
Arizona Outback Adventures and Redline Rentals & Sales teamed up with us for the second weekend in a row to bring tandem and single kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and guides out for volunteers to help us remove trash from the river.
