8th Annual President’s Day Weekend Cleanup

Pink Mailbox Area across from Lost dutchman state park

On Saturday, February 17th, 2024, we teamed up with the the U.S. Forest Service Tonto National Forest for our 8th annual President’s Day Weekend Cleanup. This year, we focused on the Pink Mailbox area on the Tonto National Forest across from Lost Dutchman State Park along SR-88.

78 volunteers, including 7 youth volunteers, a large group from the U.S. Forest Service Tonto National Forest, & our Dedicated Restoration removed 21,240 pounds of trash & 51 tires! That’s 10.62 tons of trash no longer littering this beautiful area.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting our annual President’s Day Weekend event year after year, we cannot thank you enough for your support!

Thank you to everyone from the U.S. Forest Service Tonto National Forest, they did so much to help support this event!

Not only did a large group from the Tonto help, their Law Enforcement Officer did a sweep of the area at dawn, they covered the dumpsters and disposal fees, and they brought out equipment to help pick up & haul trash to the dumpsters. They also brought a bunch of helpers! We are grateful for their support!
